Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

OUTERBLOC LLC (“Outerbloc,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a design studio based in Wilmington, North Carolina. We operate the website located at outerbloc.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you visit or interact with the Site.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate our business and improve your experience:

Usage / Analytics Data – anonymized details such as pages viewed, clicks, time on page, browser type, and device. This data is captured through Framer’s built‑in analytics and helps us monitor site performance and security (legal basis: legitimate interest).
Contact Information – the name, email address, and any other details you voluntarily include when you submit a contact form, schedule a call, or email us directly. We use this information solely to respond to your inquiry (legal basis: consent).
Payment‑Related Data – billing name, email, and limited transaction metadata processed by Stripe when you pay an invoice. We never store full card numbers (legal basis: contract performance).

(Residents of the EEA/UK under GDPR or California under CCPA/CPRA may have additional rights—see Section 7.)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Improve the Site – analyze anonymized usage patterns to spot bugs and optimize content.

  • Respond to Inquiries – answer questions, schedule discovery calls, and send project proposals.

  • Process Payments – generate invoices and receive funds through Stripe’s secure checkout flow.

  • Legal & Security – detect fraud, enforce our Terms & Conditions, and comply with legal obligations.

We do not use your personal information for ad targeting, nor do we sell or rent it to third parties.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

The Site sets only essential and performance cookies:

  • framer‑analytics – gathers anonymized usage metrics.

  • stripe.js / m.stripe.com – enables secure payment processing.

You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Site may not function correctly.

5. Third‑Party Disclosure

  • Service Providers – Framer (site hosting & analytics) and Stripe (payment processing) act as our data processors and may handle information solely to provide their services to us.

  • Legal Requirements – We may disclose data if required by law or court order, or to protect our rights, property, or safety.

We do not share, sell, or otherwise disclose your data to advertisers or unrelated third parties.

6. Data Retention

  • Analytics Data – retained in aggregate, anonymized form for up to 24 months, then deleted or further aggregated.

  • Contact Records – kept for 12 months after the last correspondence, unless you become a client, in which case we keep project files for seven (7) years for tax and contractual purposes.

  • Payment Metadata – stored securely in Stripe’s PCI‑compliant environment for the period required by U.S. tax law (currently seven years).

7. Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access or request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.

  • Correct or delete that data.

  • Object to or restrict certain processing.

  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

  • Lodge a complaint with your local data‑protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email hey@outerbloc.com with your request. We will respond within 30 days (10 business days for CCPA opt‑out requests).

8. Security Measures

We protect data with:

  • TLS/SSL encryption on every page of the Site.

  • PCI‑DSS‑compliant payment processing via Stripe (we never store full card numbers).

  • Role‑based access controls and regular password rotation for our internal systems.

No internet transmission is 100 % secure, but we follow industry best practices to minimize risk.

9. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect data from, children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Effective Date.” Material changes will be highlighted for 30 days.
